I am an assistant professor of 20th-Century US Social and Public History at Brooklyn College, City University of New York.
I teach courses on the theory and practice of oral history, the history of American popular culture, the history of the American war in Vietnam, and a variety of other topics.
I have been professionally involved in collecting oral histories for 18 years.
In June, 2013, Hill and Wang published my book Bringing It All Back Home: An Oral History of New York City’s Vietnam Veterans.
I describe my involvement in this project here.
In 2007, I prepared a bio for the benefit of my undergraduate students, which is here.
